I got a call about some supposed grants for home repairs. When I asked if she could send me the info by email, the woman said they couldn't email anything. I said it sounded dodgy to me and she just ended the call. Definitely felt like a scam.

Got a call saying there’s £2000 available to help improve energy efficiency in my home. They asked about my windows. When I questioned if it was a free offer or a sales pitch since I’m on the TPS list, the caller didn’t seem sure and said someone else would ring to clarify. The next time I got through, it was a salesperson. Apparently the ‘funding’ was from their own company, so nothing was free at all. I mentioned the TPS, but they just ignored it. Then they started getting quite argumentative and even rude, before ending the call abruptly.

So this double glazing firm called me up saying there’s some kind of funding available to help make my home more energy efficient. But really, they were just trying to sell their products. The 'funding' apparently comes from another company. When I told them I’m registered with the TPS, they suddenly got quite cheeky and rude.

Got a call at 5.07pm, actually twice. My lad picked up the first time, then the caller hung up and came straight back asking for an adult. They refused to say who they were but had the cheek to give me lessons on parenting, saying it’s not right for kids to answer the phone. Really disrespectful. When I told them I wasn’t keen on parenting tips from someone who wouldn't identify themselves, they sarcastically called me ‘darling’. Pretty rude experience overall.
