Got a robocall telling me I'd been flagged for tax evasion. Clearly a scam, but i can see how it’d freak some folks out. Sounds like they’re just trying to scam cash, no doubt.

Just two days after getting my landline set up (thanks to Direct), I’ve already been inundated with four calls from this number, all of them purporting to be from British Gas and insisting that I settle my gas and electricity bill. The thing is, I’m not even a customer of British Gas! It’s clearly a scam, folks-definitely fraudulent behaviour. Please, whatever you do, avoid sharing any bank details or making any payments. Stay vigilant!
