Got a call this morning from "National Advice Service". They asked if I'd got experience in the industry. I mean, who hasn’t these days? The call was pretty quick, ended before I knew it.

Absolutely awful guy claiming to be from the ‘National Advice Service’, bombarding me with all sorts of personal questions, like whether I’ve ever worked in factories or handled machinery. I told him I’d never done anything like that and made it clear I don’t appreciate these annoying calls. He snapped back, insisting it wasn’t a nuisance call at all. I explained how distressing and intrusive the calls are and he just shouted that it wasn’t his problem. His attitude got nasty fast so I ended the call and blocked the number on my phone. Still, I feel pretty shaken and invaded - getting these calls on both my mobile and landline at all hours is just unacceptable.

This number has rung me twice. I missed the first call but picked up the second. The person claimed to be ‘Tom’ from some ‘National Advice Service’. When I asked which advice service exactly, he said that was the company’s name and they were supposedly updating their records because they thought I worked in ‘the industry’. I didn’t hang about and cut him off pretty quick. Then I searched the number here, and decided to block it. If you’ve got a Samsung Galaxy, just go to settings, then calls, then call rejection, and blacklist. Add the number, save it, and you won’t be bothered by them again. It’s really straightforward! I’ve also blacklisted ‘unknown’ callers and all numbers starting with 0845 or 0843, just to be safe.

Got a call on my hubby’s mobile asking for my mother-in-law. When he asked who they were and why they wanted her, they just hung up. I called back curious and they said it was about an industrial deafness claim (which is totally false, she isn’t deaf at all). I asked where they got hubby’s number from and guess what? They cut off again. So, I rang back quick and told them bluntly not to hang up, as it’s really rude, then I slammed the phone down on them. Thankfully with iPhones, you can block numbers easily - and this annoying one is definitely on the blacklist now!
