Got a call from some bloke wanting to chat with Mrs and then he used my first name but didn’t ask for my surname at all. He claimed to be from SKY and said my mobile deal was due for renewal, offering me a cheaper option. I told him I’d just sort it out online instead, which didn’t seem to please him much, so I just ended the call.

It sounded like the background was a hectic store or something. The person on the phone used the wrong name for me. Once I told him my actual name, he launched into his sales pitch. He claimed to be with "m m and r associates" and said they deal with pre-paid funerals, then asked if I already had a funeral plan. Could just be one of those annoying cold calls, but I also got the feeling they might be testing if someone was home, maybe scoping out the place for a possible break-in.
