That number is linked to a firm called Direct Assist. I looked them up online and gave them a ring. Their address is 41 Chorley New Road, Bolton, Manchester BL1 4QR, and the phone number is 08458621392. I spoke to the manager who confirmed all the info earlier today. I've also forwarded a complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office.

This number calls me pretty much every day - most times they just hang up once I pick up. I found out they’re after my wife regarding a car crash from about five months ago. Nobody got hurt and the insurance stuff was sorted ages ago. They rang again today and for once, I actually got to speak to someone. The woman on the phone insisted she couldn’t chat with me because of Data Protection or something like that - seemed like nonsense to me. When I told her to stop calling since it’s about that old car accident, she just suddenly cut me off. She said the company was Direct Assist. Very impolite behaviour.
