Got calls from a lady with an Asian accent about Tesco insurance, which I’ve never used. She’s always asking for a woman with the same name but from Kent, and I’m up here in Scotland. When I told her she’s got the wrong person, she actually raised her voice - and when I fired back, she just hung up on me. It’s so frustrating ’cause they keep mentioning the same Kent address every single time. I don’t want to change my number but blocking their calls isn’t working either. It’s been really getting me down, some days it’s just so hard dealing with all this.

I never pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise or that don’t leave a message anymore, cause I’m so tired of all the scam calls. These dodgy people are even using mobile numbers now to trick us. I’ve got a list of 23 numbers that I plan to send to my local MP, maybe if more of us do the same, something might actually happen!

I've been getting calls from a woman with an Indian accent about my life insurance with L&G. She seemed to know my name and where I live. They really don't take no for an answer, do they? I kept telling her I couldn't find my documents, but now I've just blocked the number.

This bloke called saying he was from Aviva, but when I said I wasn't a customer, he quickly switched to saying he was from Legal & General. I told him right away that he seemed like a con artist, and he got all shouty, threatening me and saying I’d regret it if anything happened to me ‘cause they wouldn’t pay out. I told him I didn’t care, if I’m dead money means nothing, then just ended the call. He was really pushy and rude - honestly, he should be embarrassed.

This person called and claimed my Aviva insurance was at risk, then said I didn’t have a policy at all. Next, they switched to saying my Legal and General policy was about to expire. When I told them it wasn’t true as I had already checked with Legal and General, they kept insisting it was. This kind of thing is really troubling, especially for elderly folks who might get worried or upset by it.
