Here's a thought for you... Instead of fibbing to the person on the other end of the line, why not actually answer the call and hear them out? Simply explain that you're not keen and would prefer not to be contacted again. Honestly, it's a bit ridiculous how places like this can complicate things for genuine telesales agents, especially when people jump to conclusions about scams without giving a fair chance. It's frustrating!

Last summer, I received a call from a woman claiming to be from Vodafone customer service-she even knew my name! I was a bit gullible and ended up confirming my name and address. But when she started pushing a contract and asked for my bank details, I made it clear that I preferred my pay-as-you-go top-ups. She became quite aggressive, probing me about why I didn't want to sign up, insisting it was an incredible offer that would save me money, all that jazz. I found it infuriating and firmly said NO. She responded, “Alright, we’ll check back in a year,” before hanging up. Now they’re relentless, calling me multiple times a day. I finally decided to look up the number, and once I saw it was a scam, I wasted no time blocking them!
