I received a rather dodgy call the other day from someone trying to con me out of my banking info. They claimed they were from an insurance company and needed my credit card details to supposedly process a payout for a car accident I had, which apparently wasn’t even my fault. The chap had a noticeable foreign accent, and after realising it was all a scam, I’ve promptly put him on my blocked list!

Some bloke named Adam rang me up, claiming to be from the national conservation organisation. He started off by saying something like, “Our info shows you’ve got fibreglass loft insulation put in back in the 70s.” The moment I mentioned it was a council flat, he kinda paused and repeated, “a council flat?” I said yeah, and then the call just dropped straight away - no goodbye or anything, just silence.

Someone rang me and called me by a different name, but he did get my address correct. It felt a bit off, so I let it go to voicemail. There was no message waiting when I checked.
