I received a rather dodgy call the other day from someone trying to con me out of my banking info. They claimed they were from an insurance company and needed my credit card details to supposedly process a payout for a car accident I had, which apparently wasn’t even my fault. The chap had a noticeable foreign accent, and after realising it was all a scam, I’ve promptly put him on my blocked list!

Someone rang me, claiming his name was Adam and representing some sort of national conservation organisation. He mentioned that their files indicated I had fibreglass loft insulation fitted back in the 70s. However, the moment I mentioned that it was a council property, he seemed taken aback, saying, "a council house?" I nodded and then - poof - the line went silent, not even a beep to signal he hung up. Quite odd, really!

I received a call from a chap who seemed to have mixed up my name, yet he had my address spot on. This raised my suspicions, so I decided to let it go to voicemail. Interestingly, there was no message left behind.
