I got a call today from a “local” number about some government grants for saving energy. They seemed to know I was the owner of the house or something. I told ’em I’m actually renting (which isn’t true) and as soon as I said that, they just cut the call straight away. This has happened like three times now, so I decided to report it here.

Called the number back and it says it doesn’t exist. Also, when I first answered the call and hung up, the phone didn’t cut off right away. So, be careful and maybe do the same check, could be some kind of scam trying to keep the line open.

I got two calls from some bloke trying to sell me loft insulation that we’ve never even had installed. Really annoying because we don’t need it and it’s nothing to do with us!

I picked up thinking it was from the local clinic, since we were waiting to hear from them. Turned out it was some bloke going on about loft insulation. After a bit, I realised it was one of those voice recordings that responds when you say something. As soon as I twigged it wasn’t a real person, I hung up and blocked the caller. When will these bloody robocalls stop?
