Got a robo call pretending to be from my bank’s security team, I just hung up straight away.

On 21/08/24 at 10:41, I received a call from this number with an automated voice warning me about suspicious activity on my Amazon account. It said I’d supposedly spent £300 and sent £1100 abroad! I don’t even have an Amazon account. This isn’t the first time I’ve gotten this exact message from different numbers all over the UK. These scammers just keep trying. It’s best to just hang up straight away, they’re definitely up to no good.

I suspect this is a dodgy setup, as the text claims there’s an unauthorised charge on my visa. It instructs me to press 1 if I wish to cancel it. Sounds utterly suspect!
