This number (01202872403) looks legit to me. Honestly, why aren’t the police or BT doing more to deal with these folks? It shouldn’t be too tricky to spot them since BT runs the phone network nationwide. The number’s definitely real. They should just round them up, sort it properly, maybe even send them back where they came from. And while they’re at it, figure out who’s really behind it all here in the UK, like their controller or boss.

Watch out - the folks ringing from this number are trying to trick you into giving away personal details as part of a scam operation. Once they get your full name and National Insurance number, the next move is draining your bank account. They might sound okay at first, but they're actually working with a gang that collects your info so another group can steal your money. Don’t share anything with them and be as wary as you can, because what they’re doing is seriously dodgy.

So I got this call with a really posh English voice saying my national insurance number was gonna be deleted because of some issues, and it told me to press #1 to talk to someone. When I did, some bloke with a pretty thick accent answered, sounded Asian, maybe from India or somewhere round there. I told him he called me, and he struggled with English. I asked him how he managed to work for the DWP if his English was so bad. Then he asked for my full name again, but I called him out for being fake. He got annoyed, swore at me to "fuck off," and hung up straight away. What a dodgy experience!
