The claim about cutting your phone bill is just rubbish though - actually, if you don’t have caller ID switched on, your phone bill might even increase because of it. When someone called me from one of those numbers asking if I was Mr. ****** living at ******* and whether I was paying £4 a month to block nuisance calls, I told them I wasn’t paying anyone. Then they asked if I got many nuisance calls, I said no, and they just thanked me and hung up.
