I received a call at half past nine on the 28th of September, 2009, from a company offering a two-for-one deal on carpet cleaning. As soon as I picked up, I reminded them that we're registered with the Telephone Preference Service. They claimed to have bought a directory that included our number. Quite a cheeky move, if you ask me!
