Got a call from a person claiming to be with BT Broadband, wanting details about our router and asking us to run speed tests. They weren’t able to provide clear info and when I mentioned that both BT and Sky (our actual provider) can check speeds from their side, they dodged it. When I asked about these ‘alerts’ they said came from our router, they didn’t give any straight answers. Felt like a classic scam trying to trick us into giving info or paying for a fake issue.
