I just stayed quiet and then the call just ended. It’s been a couple weeks since I got any cold calls, but today I had two - one from 01618852171, which from what I’ve seen people say is something to do with loft insulation, and this one that others reckon is about solar panels. Honestly, if I needed those sorts of things, I’d be the one to call them, not sit around waiting for them to bother me.

I keep getting these automated calls about solar panels, the classic scam trying to get you to press a button to stop calls or another to get more details. I reckon if you hit the info button they're checking if you're real so they can bother you again later from a different phone number. These calls come through all the time from lots of different numbers, so it must be near impossible to block them since they keep switching their lines. It’s pretty sad that someone spends their time trying to make money by hassling people like this.

Usually, they try to book you in for a no-cost solar check-up or an energy inspection at your house. I've heard stories where people got caught out by this and then had someone turning up at their door, pretending to be from the utility company just to do some sort of audit or inspection.

Got a voicemail from some company pushing solar battery systems. Sounded like one of those automated calls you just wanna hang up on. Not really interested, but guess they’re trying to sell something useful in green energy or whatever. Bit annoying though!
