I find myself utterly frustrated with this firm. They've shuffled my pension into a new scheme, only to ring me up later suggesting I switch to yet another one. At this juncture, I’m left in the dark with no updates from my so-called provider. It’s been ages since I last heard anything. Not a single person at Avacade seems willing to return my calls, and the chap who initially sold me the pension has vanished from their staff altogether! A quick glance at their website reveals a significant overhaul in their team, which only adds to my unease. What’s not immediately clear is their rather dubious connection to another entity operating from the same premises, under the name of ‘Ethical Forestry.’ This firm focuses on timber investments (do a quick search if you’re sceptical). So when Avacade compiles your pension review, it’s hardly impartial! They’ll likely produce a spiel suggesting that while your pension appears ‘acceptable’, the fees are excessively high, and then they’ll nudge you towards pouring all your savings into their timber scheme. This investment carries significant risk, and if your pension isn’t substantial, don’t be surprised if they don’t bother to follow up with you.
