Yesterday, I got a call about free surveys for cavity wall installation, said it would only take an hour. I told them I’d already had a survey done like 7 years ago and everything was fine. The guy said things can change in that time so I agreed but made it clear there were two rooms they couldn’t enter for personal reasons. They set up an appointment for today, 06/12/18 at 10 am, but no one showed up. When people don’t arrive at the agreed time, I get a bit wary. I even mentioned how my mum got scammed a couple years back - I had to step in before any work was done, since she only had cavity walls done 6 years before. I told the caller about my solicitor mate who helped sort it all out and got her money back. Funny how they didn’t bother turning up now, just proves you can’t trust these things too much.

Someone rang me saying they were here to check cavity wall insulation. Felt a bit off, like maybe a scam or something. Just a heads up for anyone getting calls like this, be careful!
