I just got a call from this firm, same old spiel about a special deal and all that. When I told the woman on the line, Sue, that our number is on the TPS list to block these kinds of cold calls, she claimed they check all their numbers against it and after a year, you have to register again to keep off the list. I knew that sounded dodgy, so I contacted the TPS directly and they confirmed flat out that it isn’t true. The only way they'd take a home number off the TPS is if the owner themselves asked for it. I really can’t stand companies like this, who lie so blatantly just to scam vulnerable people.
