It was supposed to be from the Windows tech support team, but ended up being a total scam.

I got a call around midday today, someone claiming my computer was about to crash. I've been on the receiving end of these dodgy calls before. I asked, "What am I supposed to do then?" He said, "You need to be sat at your PC right now." I told him, "I can't really do that." He asked why, and I told him, "Because I don't actually own a computer." He seemed shocked, "You don't have a computer?" I confirmed, "Nope, but I've made a note of this call and I'll be reporting it." Of course, he hung up straight away after that. No surprises there.

They just rang me, and when I picked up after a couple of rings, there was nothing but silence. Suddenly, some recorded voice came on and just said 'goodbye'. It’s so annoying to keep getting these kinds of calls all the time.
