This number rang me and a person spoke, asking for someone by name. He even mentioned an address that was nowhere near us. I told him he’d dialled the wrong number. He was quite friendly and double-checked the details he had, agreeing our number was right but the address wasn’t, so he said he’d update them. Compared to other random calls, he was quite nice and even wished me a merry Christmas! It felt a bit like those charity calls where they ask for someone then try to arrange a direct debit donation, but I couldn’t find any info online to back that up.

I’ve been getting these persistent calls for ages now, all inquiring after a Mrs Peters. I’ve informed the caller repeatedly that there is no one by that name at this number. They suggested I contact my phone provider to sort it out, which seems a bit ridiculous. The caller was rather rude, insisting that it was up to me to confirm they had the right number.
