Just got a call from 01202406722. They wanted to speak to Mrs or Mr XXXX. I asked who was calling and then was asked again if I was Mrs XXXX. I said no but asked who they were. The bloke got really rude then. He snapped, "Who the hell do you think you are asking who I am if you’re not the person I’m calling?" I told him it’s my number, my phone, and I’m well within my rights. He then said, "You’ve got no rights at all," and hung up. What nerve!

Got a call from some scammer saying my fibreglass insulation’s dangerous and it’s a govt warning. Don’t get drawn in, just end the call - they’ll probably ring again, they’re proper pushy.

Somebody rang me, saying they were from a place called Mad Meats, claiming we’d been in their store, did a survey, and won something. I told them that wasn’t true, but they kept insisting it was. They refused to say where their shop was. I pointed out that if they had us on their records, it would be against the law, but they said it wasn’t. The only Mad Meats I found is in the Philippines.

Gentleman with a posh English accent called from "NRG, we're not selling anything, don't worry" (sure thing) about loft insulation. Said I qualified for a free check-up, supposed to be done every three years or so. (Really?) I told him all's fine and it was done in the last 3 years (little fib there), and he kindly ended the call.

Got a call today from someone claiming to be with TIG offering free cavity wall insulation checks for damp in our area tomorrow. They said they’d inspect for damp by drilling holes into our brickwork (!) and then give us a report. I told them we don’t have any damp issues, but they insisted only they had the gear to confirm if there was damp or not. They also said it would help stop us getting any more calls like this. I told them I didn’t want any calls at all and asked to be taken off their list. Number’s blocked now.

Got a call from an energy firm asking if I had fibreglass insulation in my loft. They said if I had insulation, it’s definitely fibreglass. They reckoned it’s not recommended anymore by the government and might cause damp and condensation issues. I told them I’d look into it online and couldn’t chat at the moment. So far, I haven’t found anything about that online.

Chatted with a polite bloke claiming to be from T I G. He asked for me using my maiden name, which was a dead giveaway it was dodgy. Told him that name wasn't here and said he must've got the wrong address. He ended the call pretty quick after that.

Got a call out the blue about loft insulation. Told them straight up I was getting loads of calls already and my loft was insulated. They didn’t want to listen and kept pushing for my address, which I wouldn’t share. They tried to mention GDPR rules but when I said I’m on the TPS list and shouldn’t be contacted, they just came up with all sorts of excuses. Honestly, steer clear of these lot, they’re just a pain!

Got a call from 01202 406722 at about 4pm today, 14/08/18. Some bloke trying to sell roof or loft insulation. He even knew our last name, which is worrying cos our number's ex-directory (does that even mean anything nowadays? Seems not). We’re on the TPS too, but clearly that doesn’t help. Tried calling back later and just got a full voicemail inbox, so I’ve blocked them straight away. Bet there’s plenty of other numbers doing the same rubbish. Proper respect to that guy in the Home Counties who took a stand recently - he really should be given an award!

Got a call from this number today. Lucky I didn’t pick up after seeing what others have said here. Before, someone told me my info got leaked on some other site, so maybe this is how they’re gathering stuff like my name and phone number. Now I’m proper cautious about picking up any numbers I don’t know.

My wife got a call from this number earlier this week. The guy reckoned the fibreglass insulation in our loft hadn’t been inspected for five years and sounded like it was a serious health risk, even worse than asbestos according to him. He insisted it needs checking every year, like it’s some kind of law. Then he started trying to scare her, saying something about how she’d feel if our kids died in their sleep because we didn’t get the loft checked. Honestly, this kind of fearmongering is just nasty and needs to stop right now.
