Today at about 11.25am on 7/4/22 I got a dodgy call from an Indian guy asking to speak with the business owner. I asked him what it was about and he started spouting all sorts of rubbish. I told him to find a real job instead of trying to con folks, then I just stuffed the phone in the bread bin and shut the lid. Total scam and full of lies. DGM Bristol

Saw an unknown number pop up and decided not to pick up, letting it go to voicemail instead. Unsurprisingly, no message was left. Funny thing is, I was almost tempted to answer just to waste their time pretending I wanted whatever they were offering. Got a call on my work number from a lady speaking with a South Asian accent. She wanted to know if I was the owner of the business. I asked straight up what she was trying to sell me, and told her I’m not into cold calls. She kept insisting she wasn’t selling anything. Staying polite (very British, I know), I said sorry but I have to assume otherwise, so I’m ending the call now, and out of habit, thanked her for ringing!
