I got a call on my home phone yesterday from this number and they told me my bank was requested to pay two transactions from Amazon, one for about £300 and another for over £1000. They even said to press 1 if I wanted to speak to someone about it. Sounds like one of their classic scam lines to me. Folks really ought to check out the show SCAM INTERCEPTORS on TV - it’s brilliant for helping people spot and dodge these con artists.
