Phone number ☎️ 01202386763 👆 is reported as a persistent scam number frequently using automated messages to claim suspicious or fraudulent transactions on bank or credit cards, often involving fictitious train ticket purchases between London and Edinburgh or other destinations. Callers prompt recipients to press a number to confirm or cancel payments, leading to attempts to extract personal and financial details. The calls typically lack personalised information, use generic and poorly produced recordings, and may feature foreign-accented voices. Many users warn not to engage, press any buttons, or provide details, recommending immediate call termination and blocking of the number. Got a call just before 9 in the morning on my landline from a number I didn’t know. Thought it might be blocked by the TPS? I didn’t answer so it went to the BT answering machine but there wasn’t any message. After seeing what others said, I’ve now blocked the number.

So this number called me claiming to be from my bank, said there was some suspicious activity on my credit card. It totally felt like a scam to me, they asked for all sorts of personal info. Never trust callers who say they're from your card company unless you’ve called them first!

I tried to let the call go to voicemail, but suddenly there was this really loud whistling sound coming through, and I couldn't hang up or end the call at all. The only way to get it to stop was to physically unplug the phone. It was a bit scary, to be honest.

This number was used in a scam to try and get my card info, so DON'T share anything with them. Best thing to do is hang up straightaway and wait a bit before calling your bank yourself. Sometimes scammers keep the phone line open to make you believe you’re actually talking to your bank. Stay safe!

Got a call from someone saying there was a dodgy charge on my credit card and to press 1 to cancel it. Turns out it was a proper scammer trying to pull a fast one. If you’re up for a laugh, try messing with them for a bit - just don’t download any apps or click links. Keep them running round in circles by feeding them wild stories and rubbish info, the more ridiculous the better. Honestly, it’s oddly satisfying winding up these muppets who think they can con you. Got a call from a robotic voice claiming 'this is your bank security, there’s a charge of £699 on your card'. They didn’t bother using my name or even saying which bank they were from. Honestly, do they imagine anyone’s that daft? Total scam, avoid it!

Im pretty sure this was some kinda scam. They somehow knew the route I usually take and even mentioned that I’d booked a ticket on it, which made the whole thing sound a lot more legit than it actually was.

I received a recorded message claiming to be from my bank's security team, stating that there had been a charge of £699 on my card. Clearly, it’s a dodgy scam!

Got a call with a robotic voice thanking me for buying train tickets from St Pancras. Then it said if that wasn’t me, press 1 to talk to a fraud advisor. Totally rubbish, I just ended the call straight away.

Same old story, someone claimed £600 had been taken from my card - it’s the same rubbish every time. I get calls like this almost every few days, always from different numbers, and you can’t ring them back because the line won’t take incoming calls. It’s just scumbags doing their usual, absolute rubbish people. Honestly, their parents must be so embarrassed of what they’re up to.

Got a call from someone saying they had bought train fare from London St Pancras to Edinburgh using our card. Obviously a scam trying to get me to ring them back, probably just after my personal details to rip me off. These crooks never stop trying to cheat innocent folks.

Got a call from a number I didn’t know, even though I have TSP set up. It just went straight to my voicemail but wouldn’t you know, no message was left. Probably another scammer. Luckily, thanks to this watchful group, I’m certain I didn’t miss out on anything important.

What a rubbish scam, didn’t fall for it and blocked straight away.

Don't fall for this one, it's a scam from India using fake UK phone numbers. They leave a recorded message saying you've bought train tickets and if you think it's suspicious, press 1. When you do, you end up speaking to someone in India with a terrible connection who "verifies" the purchase before asking for your card details. I've gotten at least seven calls since 29/05/2024 from numbers like 01322663906, 07980913937, 02085781796, and now this latest one.

Didn’t pick up an unknown number that rang me, lucky really as it looks like one of those dodgy calls again. I’ve had a few like this before, pretending to be from Bournemouth or Dorset. Glad I gave it a miss!

I just picked up the phone and got an automated lady voice telling me someone used my card to buy a £130 train ticket with East Midlands Rail. It said if I didn't make that purchase, I should press 1 to talk to the Visa team... yeah, right! Totally feels like a scam to me.

I got a call from a posh sounding English woman with a recorded message saying a visa payment had been made for a train journey ticket costing just over £100. She mentioned something about a trip from St Pancras to Edinburgh. If I hadn’t done it, she said to press 1 to chat with someone. Can’t quite recall the exact price, but it was a bit over a hundred quid.

Finally heard a female voice that didn't sound robotic... but of course, it’s just another scam. They said my bank card was used to buy train tickets from St Pancras. Then they told me to press 1 to talk to Visa security - yeah right, as if! Just blocked the number straight away.

On 4th July, I got a call from this number claiming that £600 had been taken from my credit card, so I just hung up straight away. When the caller ID showed up, it said "Nuisance ? 01202 386763" - not sure if you lot knew about that. Thought I’d share as tonight, my cousin in the US called me, and her number also displayed "Nuisance ?" before it, and she told me it’s a trick some use to make cheaper calls to the UK.

I received an automated call regarding some train tickets I recently bought for my journey from St Pancras to Edinburgh. They mentioned something about connecting me to the “VISA FRAUD DEPARTMENT” if I pressed 1. I opted against it and simply blocked the number instead. What a complete scam! I strongly encourage everyone to block this number and report it.
