I've gotten a few calls recently from someone claiming to be my local energy provider for the area. Each time, I've told them to take me off their list, but they keep ringing. This was the third time just in the last few weeks.

Someone called me about joining some sort of promo deal to redo my driveway. I told them straight up I wasn’t interested and ended the call. Felt a bit dodgy afterwards, so I checked online and stumbled upon this site. Now I see I wasn’t imagining things!

I quickly ended the call before they could start their whole insulation talk. Didn't hesitate, just hung up and blocked the number straight away.

I got a call from this number and as soon as I said hello, there was no reply. Probably looking for an older person or something. These callers are just pests, taking advantage of people who might be more vulnerable. Definitely blocked and reported it. Another one to add to the blacklist.

Got a call from a number that should've been private! Before the person could get far, I cut in and asked if they were trying to scam me about some energy deal. They got all flustered and tried to carry on but I told them straight up: that’s phishing and against the law! They hung up straight away. Blocked the number immediately!

Somebody called me once saying they were an “Energy Advisor” for local homes. I told them I wasn’t interested and ended the call. These calls keep coming, from all sorts of different numbers, roughly once a month. We’re on the ex-directory list, so I’m not sure how they keep getting through.

Got a call from someone real on the line who just said hello, but when I seemed a bit wary, they quickly ended the call. Proper dodgy behaviour if you ask me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with the insulation advice service, offering a free loft inspection to check for damp problems linked to insulation. When I asked whether they were a government agency or a private firm, they just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be my local energy advisor, starting off with a "how are you today?" bit. The way he spoke was a bit jumbled, so I asked who exactly he was. Instead of answering properly, he just repeated the same line like he was reading from a script. I’m on the TPS list, so if he was legit, surely his firm would’ve checked that. When he asked how I was again, I said “not really,” and he just ended the call straight away.

A bloke rang saying he was the local energy advisor and wanted to know if I owned the property. Then he started asking if I’d used the Government’s loft insulation offer. Once I explained it’s a newly built house, he just cut me off straight away. This happened roughly ten minutes after a quiet call from a very similar number, only the last digit was an 8 instead of a 9.

Got a suspicious call about loft insulation, they kept pushing for an inspection but saying there’s no pressure or obligation. Weird thing is, they said they knew my postcode but actually had no clue. Felt a bit dodgy and too much repetition, definitely a scam.
