I recently had a tiff over the phone with a chap from this number. As soon as I mentioned connecting me to the fraud department, he abruptly disconnected the call. I could tell he was trying to pull a fast one, as I haven’t signed up for anything!

These scammers are just leeches, they keep ringing up older folks, scamming them for some kind of call-blocking fee every couple of weeks. Proper thieves, honestly.

01202230199 keeps ringing nonstop. It’s awful how these scumbags target vulnerable older folks like they’ve got nothing better to do. Everyone knows it’s just a scam, yet nobody does anything to shut them down. It’s ridiculous - they’re pestering an 89-year-old daily. Someone seriously needs to put an end to this nasty business! Such horrible people.

Just got a call from these guys to my elderly mum who has disabilities. They said they were from some nuisance call blocker service and that this was her third year paying them, asking for a final payment. I was upstairs so I could hear the whole chat. When I started asking the man, who said his name was 'Steve', for his info and was about to request his manager, the call suddenly cut off. Total scammers targeting vulnerable older people.

My mum, who has dementia, has fallen victim to these scammers again - third time now. They claim to be a call blocking firm from Bournemouth, ringing her up and charging £140 for a service she didn’t want. As soon as I caught wind of it, I cancelled her card. I tried ringing the number to sort it out, but it just doesn’t connect. Seriously, steer clear of these people. They’re just targeting elderly folks who can’t defend themselves.

I’m absolutely fed up with this incessant ringing from 01202230199. It's as though they’re glued to my number! They just won’t take a hint and bugger off. Honestly, I reckon the authorities ought to step in and put an end to this nonsense. Clearly, it’s a scam operation! Someone should throw these pests behind bars!

I’ve received calls from this number and a few others linked to a lot of individuals going by the name of Privacy Protect-what a bunch of daft pillocks! They seem intent on targeting my elderly mum, who’s 77. But let me tell you, they’ve picked the wrong one. The moment I get wind of who they are, I’ll make it my mission to track them down, no matter how long it takes. Seriously, remember this: they can't siphon off your funds if you don't share your banking details. So, for the love of all that's good, tell them to bugger off and hang up! No matter how many different numbers they try or how convincing they sound, just don’t engage. Stay vigilant!

I got a call from someone claiming to be with BT call barring service, demanding £149.99 for the second year of a 3-year plan (apparently the first year was free). When I said I wanted to cancel, the bloke said I couldn’t do it over the phone! I told them I wasn’t falling for it and called them out as scammers. Stay clear of these lot.

On 6th Febuary 2018, my mum who's quite old noticed that two amounts were withdrawn from her bank account. We've been trying loads of times to find any kind of number to call them back but nothing works. The number listed above just doesn't pick up or even allow incoming calls. It's been a real pain trying to get them to stop.

I just received a call from this number, and the gentleman on the other end spoke very articulately. He claimed that a couple of years back, I had signed up for the call barring service through a company named Privacy Protect. Strangely enough, he had my address and even a password I use from time to time. He then proposed that for the sum of £149, he could provide me with complimentary service at that rate for life. Naturally, I was quite sceptical and pointed out that I had never subscribed to such a service. He insisted that I had previously paid £124 two years ago, and when I inquired about how the payment was made, he mentioned it was via a debit card. I challenged him to tell me the last few digits of that card, but he claimed he couldn't disclose that information due to legal reasons. At that point, I hung up, and he hasn’t attempted to call back since.

I just had a call from this number, and the chap on the other end seemed rather courteous. He claimed that I was still getting nuisance calls and that my contract was about to be renewed. The thing is, over a year ago, I shelled out £149 for a lifetime deal, so I’m a bit taken aback. After doing some digging and reading other folks' experiences, it’s become clear to me that this is all part of a scam. I was in a vulnerable state at the time, but today I firmly told him there would be no further payments from me. He insisted I was bound by a contract, yet I never received any documentation to back that up. So, I reiterated my point and ended the call while he was still speaking. Haven’t heard back since. Stand your ground and don’t part with your cash!

Last year, I fell victim to these absolute rotters who managed to con me out of £124.99. I was in a rough spot, otherwise I’d never have been gullible enough to get caught up in their antics. It’s infuriating that there seems to be no action taken against them! When they called me today, I made it crystal clear that I was wise to their scam and told them in no uncertain terms not to bother me again. And wouldn’t you know it, just moments after I hung up, the cheeky blighters were ringing me again! This time, I chose not to pick up the phone, but then they had the audacity to call from an international line. Unbelievable!

WARNING STAY AWAY I got a call saying I’d purchased phone blocking cover last year for 3 years costing £124.99, and they said I could upgrade to a lifetime deal if I paid more. When I asked for more info and about my bank details, they just hung up. Never bought anything from these guys. Looks like they’re using all sorts of tricks to try and snag people’s card info.

I received a call today informing me that we supposedly removed our privacy protection nearly 21 months back. There’s absolutely no chance that’s true! I've recently discovered that I’ve allegedly been shelling out £149 annually for "privacy protection" for the past two years. When I expressed my disbelief and mentioned that I couldn’t recall ever signing up for such a service, the chap on the line insisted he had all the details of my payments before him and suggested I must be mistaken. While I may not be in my prime, my memory isn’t completely shot, and I certainly wouldn't have consented to this expenditure. I promised to scrutinise my bank statements to verify any such transactions, to which he encouraged me and mentioned he'd call back on Monday. However, after a quick search online for the phone number, I realised it’s a scam. I'm not holding my breath for that phone call now, though part of me wishes he would reach out again-just so I could have a word with him about his dodgy tactics to dupe innocent people out of their cash. Ah well, another lesson learned, I suppose!

I received a phone call from this number demanding payment after they somehow mentioned my password. I couldn’t recall signing up for anything like that last year, but I firmly explained that I wasn’t interested and simply couldn't manage the expense. The caller insisted they were unable to remove my details from their system, but I remained resolute and reiterated that I wouldn't be making any payments. This led to a bit of a heated exchange where the caller claimed he would see what could be done, acting as if he were doing me a favour. I’ve had a few more calls from this number since then, but I’ve chosen to ignore them.

I received a rather alarming phone call from this number, in which the caller referenced my password and insisted I owed a payment. To be honest, I can’t recall signing up for any subscription last year. I firmly informed them that I wasn’t interested and that financial constraints meant I couldn’t possibly pay. The person on the other end stated they couldn’t remove my details from their system, which led to a bit of a heated exchange. They pretended they were doing me a favour by saying they would investigate further. Since then, this number has reached out multiple times, but I’ve chosen to ignore the calls altogether.

These people kept ringing me, pushing some call blocking device. They kept claiming I’d already bought one and just needed one last payment for lifetime coverage. Received a rather aggressive call today insisting we cough up £149 for a faulty box that’s useless. Supposedly designed to curb those irritating nuisance calls, but it has done absolutely nothing of the sort. It’s hard to believe how these individuals can get away with such blatant scamming; they really are among the worst I've encountered. Take heed-their device is nothing but low-quality rubbish. We reached out to them two years back, requesting they cease this so-called service, yet here they are, still hounding us for cash. It’s best to keep well clear of them; a quick search for the number 01202230199 reveals countless complaints.

My mum, who’s quite old, keeps getting calls from these scammers. About a year back, they tricked her into buying some call blocking service, even though her BT phone already has that feature. We never managed to get the money back, unfortunately. Recently, they somehow bypassed the call blocker by pretending they were from her bank. Luckily, she was smart enough not to share any info and just ended the call straight away.

I keep receiving calls from this number claiming that I’m signed up for a monthly call barring service. They’re trying to sell me an upgrade for a one-off charge of £99, but when I tell them I haven’t subscribed to anything like that, they turn quite nasty. Honestly, it’s infuriating and I’m utterly fed up with their antics!

I’m absolutely fed up with these constant calls from them claiming I owe for a monthly service for call blocking, which I definitely don’t. They go on about paying a one-off fee of £99.00 to update my details, then they ask for my bank information. I just let them babble away, and then I blast a high-pitched personal alarm into the phone. They hang up sharpish! Honestly, I find it quite entertaining!

I just happened to be at my mother’s house-she's 82, bless her-when this number decided to call, claiming she had a call barring service with them for £149 a year. I told them straight up that wasn't the case since I handle her finances. But instead of listening, they demanded to speak to her directly. When I explained she wouldn’t have a clue what they were on about, the bloke had the nerve to ask, “What’s wrong with her?!” Absolutely appalling behaviour; he just hung up after that!

I was at my grandparents' place when these dodgy characters called, trying to fish for her bank details. She handed them over before I even had a chance to intervene! They rang her a staggering five times, insisting she confirm her info and warning that she'd be charged for canceling unwanted calls-claiming she couldn't back out of the so-called agreement. I finally picked up the phone, told them I was cancelling her card, and they went absolutely berserk! We ended up in a heated shouting match, with some choice expletives tossed around. I really caught them off guard, and they certainly weren’t pleased about it. When I hung up, they called me back, absolutely furious, telling me I was behaving like a child! Honestly, it’s a total circus! Please, for the love of all things sacred, never share your details over the phone, no matter who’s on the other end.

I just received a rather unsettling phone call from this lot, claiming they could help me stop nuisance calls-at the rather steep price of £149. I firmly told them I wasn’t keen on that proposition. They then informed me that they were unable to remove my number from their system. When I mentioned that I simply couldn’t manage to pay that sum, they stated they would ring me back in a fortnight. Thankfully, I haven’t shared any of my personal details with them.

I got talking to this really friendly young lady and ended up buying a couple of carbon monoxide alarms. Needed them for peace of mind at home, and honestly, they've been brilliant so far. I've had my fair share of these pesky calls coming from a bunch of numbers I don't recognise. It's quite amusing, really, as I've stumbled upon loads of other folks who’ve shared similar experiences. To keep track, I decided to jot down all the suspicious digits I’ve encountered. Now, whenever one of these random numbers pops up on my phone, I cheerily answer with, "Good morning/afternoon, welcome to Paws & Whiskers Cattery. How may I assist your feline friend today?" (Just swap out the name with any whimsical one you fancy). So far, this little jest has led to them hanging up in a hurry! Cheers, Annie D.

Got a call from Homeguard claiming they were returning a call I never made. They started going on about CO2 alarms and some government rules from October 2015 saying every homeowner has to have one. I told them that’s not true, that rule is for landlords to keep tenants safe. Told them to remove my number and reminded them it’s registered with TPS. She insisted it wasn’t a cold call, but I wasn’t having it and told her not to ring me again. Blocked their number immediately.

I usually steer clear of answering unknown numbers, but today I made the mistake of picking up. I wish I hadn’t bothered! The caller went on about having a supposed contract with me and insisted that if I wanted to back out, there’d be a one-off charge of £99. Alternatively, they offered me a so-called "discounted" rate of £5.99 per month. They claimed I had made a payment last year and even mentioned some password I might have chosen, trying to trap me into agreeing. When I firmly stated that I hadn't paid anything like that, they completely ignored my response. Eventually, I had to reiterate my refusal before hanging up, but I worry that someone more susceptible might have been swayed into complying with their demands.

I received a rather dodgy call today, where the chap insisted I had enrolled in a call blocking service. I countered that I hadn’t, and then he claimed they’d deducted £125 from my account! I've received numerous calls from this number or the affiliated business, and I've unfortunately lost some cash because of their antics. They seem to have a knack for waiting a full year before reaching out to you again. The narrative is always identical - they insist that you’re bound by a contract and now owe them a sum of money. I've taken action and reported them for fraud. Please, for your own peace of mind - cease communication with them as they are incredibly relentless and can turn quite aggressive. Under no circumstances should you divulge any banking information. It's wise to consult with your bank as well, just to be on the safe side.

Today, my elderly mother received a call from this number, and she's quite worried that they might have swindled her out of some money. They claimed they were checking her account and already possessed her card details. The woman on the line mentioned she’d be getting her last two payments for free, and that another person would follow up to confirm the call’s legitimacy. Then a man called back, saying her information was correct, but he also mentioned that he had seen her payment go through.
