I keep receiving loads of calls from different numbers but all with the same area code, usually about 5 times daily. It's always some bloke called Chris claiming to be an energy consultant asking about my loft insulation. I hung up on him the first time, but he just keeps ringing back. This has been happening for more than a week now. If you get calls like this, make sure you report them to ico.org.uk - the more complaints they get, the likelier they are to shut them down. Being on the TPS list hasn’t made any difference for me.

Since Thursday, I’ve been inundated with 18 calls from this number. They don’t introduce themselves, which is rather dodgy, and thankfully my call blocker works like a charm, so I haven’t actually had to engage anyone yet. It's incredibly frustrating though, especially as I’m ex-directory, which suggests my information has been peddled off somewhere. They start their calls before 9 in the morning and the last one comes through at 21:23. It’s relentless, to say the least!

As numerous others have pointed out, the individual orchestrating this energy con, along with various similar phone numbers, appears to be a fraudster by the name of Stuart Wright, residing at 21A Plymouth Road, Barnt Green, Birmingham, B45 8JF. Born on 19th January 1965, it’s hardly surprising he’s got a posh home and a swanky vehicle-he’s busy swindling unsuspecting folks!

Received a rather dodgy call about spray foam insulation, claiming my attic insulation's gone mouldy and that an engineer's urgently needed. They suggested it could harm my children’s health! Just utter nonsense, I say - I hung up swiftly on those chancers!

I received a rather unpleasant call on my landline from a chap who claimed my home was listed in some government survey indicating a lack of loft insulation. In truth, my loft is fully insulated! I've just had my second call in a mere five days from a chap claiming to be Chris. During our last conversation, I made it explicitly clear that I am battling a terminal illness and would appreciate it if he refrained from contacting me. I tried to explain my situation one more time, but he just hung up on me. Frustrated, I attempted to return the call, choosing the option to indicate ‘no further calls’, but it seems that fell on deaf ears. I’m seriously considering reporting this to the TPS. Hello there! I just received a call from this number, promoting loft insulation services. I explained that we reside in a council house which was remodelled with insulation about a year and a half ago. I firmly told them to shove off and requested they take my number off their lists.
