Had a rather unwelcome sales pitch about loft insulation, so I took the liberty of blocking the number and reporting it.

These persistent calls from numbers like 01202 159 194, 196, 162 and a few others never seem to stop! It typically kicks off with a voice saying "Chris from your local energy provider," but it’s just an automated voice. Since July, I’ve had about 10 calls all showing Bournemouth’s 01202 area code, though those last three digits keep swapping out as you can see. Funny thing is, I’m actually connected through the Southampton exchange.

I've been getting a couple of calls every day, and they keep switching up the numbers, but they all seem to start with 0120. It's pretty annoying.

For the last couple of days, it’s been non-stop calls from this number and others like it. Whenever we block one, they just tweak a digit or two and ring back again. Doesnt seem to bother them that we’ve signed up to the TPS either. Really wish they’d take the hint that we’re not interested at all.

Like I mentioned before, it was a robotic voice on the line with some automated answers. I had a laugh throwing some random questions back at it rather than answering its own. My number is hidden and I’m signed up with the TPS too. I’m an older lady on my own, and this morning a bloke called from the number above - and it was actually a real person, not a recorded message. He was going on about my loft insulation, claiming he had a list of homes on my street that have had it done recently, and said mine wasn’t on there (felt like he was trying to trick me?). Then he started pressuring me to let him come round and check my loft insulation. Didn’t bother to tell me his name or the company he worked for. Besides being really annoying, the call felt a bit intimidating. I just told him to buzz off and stop ringing me. Who are these guys anyway? I don’t think they were scammers, just probably some pushy salesmen from an insulation firm, maybe working on commission, trying to sell better insulation!
