Had a rather unwelcome sales pitch about loft insulation, so I took the liberty of blocking the number and reporting it.

These persistent calls from numbers like 01202 159 194, 196, 162 and a few others never seem to stop! It typically kicks off with a voice saying "Chris from your local energy provider," but it’s just an automated voice. Since July, I’ve had about 10 calls all showing Bournemouth’s 01202 area code, though those last three digits keep swapping out as you can see. Funny thing is, I’m actually connected through the Southampton exchange.

I've been getting a couple of calls every day, and they keep switching up the numbers, but they all seem to start with 0120. It's pretty annoying.

For the past couple of days, we’ve been absolutely bombarded with calls from this number and several others that are all strikingly similar. Each time I manage to block one, they just tweak a digit here or there, and lo and behold, another call comes through. It’s clear they have no regard for the fact that we’re signed up with the Telephone Preference Service. I really do wish they would take a hint and realise we have absolutely no interest in whatever it is they’re peddling.

I've had a cheeky call from a chap named CHRIS regarding some energy nonsense, and wouldn't you know it, it's the third time he's gotten in touch! Absolutely infuriating scam that it is. I’d suggest simply ignoring it and just hanging up, honestly!

As an elderly widow, I was rather taken aback this morning when I received a call from a real person (not some automated voice) from that number. They were babbling on about my loft insulation. This chap claimed he had a record of others on my street who had recently had theirs done, and oddly enough, I wasn't among them. (Sounds a bit fishy, doesn't it?) He started pressuring me about coming over to inspect my loft. No name, no company affiliation provided. Aside from being incredibly irritating, I found his unsolicited call to be ever so slightly intimidating. I firmly told him to take a hike and to leave me be. Who on earth are these individuals? I can't quite put my finger on whether they’re outright scammers. Perhaps they're just a cutthroat insulation firm, possibly working on a commission basis, eager to sell us upgraded insulation solutions!

The number was identical, and it was definitely the same bloke on the line. I would advise totally ignoring this and blocking them if possible. It's quite obvious this is a scam.
