Got a call from someone claiming to be Chris, my local energy advisor or whatever. Not sure if it was a robot because there was this weird long pause before he started talking. The bloke introduced himself and then asked if I was the homeowner or something like that. I told him no since my name’s not on the deeds. Then... silence. About a 10 second wait before I just gave up and ended the call. With how smart AI is now, I doubt it was even a real person. Fingers crossed they don’t bother me again since I’m not the owner. Got a call from someone claiming to be from a government energy agency checking loft insulation. I told him my number is on the TPS but he just ignored that and went on reciting some scripted spiel. What I got was one of those automated phone messages, not an actual person, that kinda reacts to what you say - some answers make sense, others not so much. If you wait till the end of the message, it mentions someone from the local office will ring you back to set up a meeting. I’m just hanging about for that call now, and when it comes, I’m planning on having a laugh with whoever’s on the other end! :)
