Some bloke called Chris said he was "my neighbourhood energy mate" and that my loft insulation was no good. I doubt he’s actually been up there to check anything. Plus, he rings from dodgy 094 numbers. Pretty sure it’s a scam. This is the fourth time I’ve had the call and each comes from a new number, I keep blocking them though.

You could tell he was reading off a script right from the start:

“Hi, I’m Chris from your local energy team, we’ve contacted almost everyone nearby and are just finishing off the last few calls.”

Well that’s rubbish, nobody round here has been contacted at all.

I called him out on it and asked if he was with a firm called "Green Eco", since he kept saying they were working my patch today. I said, fine, so what exactly is my area then? After that, he just hung up on me! Haha

No idea who it was. I've got one of those phones that blocks calls automatically, but this caller never said who they were or left any voicemail. Feels like one of those dodgy scam calls to me.

I usually don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t know. Checked this one here first and it definitely looks like another scam. It’s so frustrating, especially since I’m signed up on the TPS - but that clearly doesn’t stop them!

So, this bloke called saying, "Hi, Chris here, your energy advisor from around the area. How's it going?" It sounded way too casual, like they were trying to be mates or something.
