I got a call from someone with really proper English, sounding like he had his script down about loft insulation and even threw in something about government grants! Normally, when calls drag on and no one answers, I just assume it’s a silent call and usually tell them to jog on or get rude, but this was different. I told him straight up I don’t even have a loft or a house and said he’d got the wrong bloke. Why is it that every time the government mentions funding schemes, we get swamped by these tricksters, scammers, and frauds? It’s like there's a magnet for con artists whenever money’s involved.
