someone with a really thick foreign accent called and asked for me by name. when i tried to find out who was on the phone, the answer was just a garbled mess. i asked them to say it again but still couldn’t understand a thing they were saying.

I picked up and spoke Russian, but they just went quiet after that. Hopefully, now they’ll quit pestering us struggling Ukrainians. Honestly, we could really use more cash and some extra holidays. Don’t bother offering sympathy or comfort, we just wanna have a good time because now that we’re in the West, we’re here to stay. You won’t shake us off. We want those benefits - free food, free housing, and cash too. No chance we’ll be going back to that hopeless leader. He’s done nothing for us.

I've already put this number on my block list but somehow it managed to ring me once more!

The same number rang me a couple of times before I was able to pick up. When I did, they kindly asked how I was handling things during covid19, offered to say a prayer, and mentioned their website, helpline, and a christian radio station. Honestly, they were really lovely and nowhere near as pushy as some other charities I've dealt with.

Just ignore and block straight away! Definitely a fake call trying to rush you into calling back. Total scam, don’t fall for it!

It's really annoying when they keep ringing you even though you've finished your shift and just want to chill with your family. Who calls at such a late hour asking for info you don't feel like sharing? It's honestly pretty disrespectful.
