Someone rang claiming to be with my Telephone Protection Service, saying I owed a final fee of £299.00. They said once I paid that, I wouldn’t have to pay anything else and I’d be protected from annoying cold calls for life. I told them straight up, “Isn’t this call just an example of what you’re supposed to protect me from?” Then I told them flat out they were scam artists. Ended the call there, reported it and blocked the number.

We're receiving incessant calls from this number, it rings multiple times a day without fail. Given our previous encounters with dodgy tradespeople from this region, we're quite perplexed as to how they've managed to obtain our private number, especially since we're ex-directory. Just had another run-in with Community Call Prevention. It’s ridiculous how these lot show that Action Fraud and the TPS register are pretty much useless - the same bloody TPS you pay a monthly fee for to keep your number off their list, but here we are. I’ve actually put in a complaint with BT because this mob is clearly breaking the network rules, and now a legal team is having a proper look into it. The company’s cheeky director probably reckons he’s untouchable, but we’ll wait and see how that pans out.

Today at 11:20, they rang once more, even though I'd made it absolutely clear they were not to contact me again, and their operator insisted they wouldn't. Last Friday, just a day after that chat, they called me four times. Honestly, this company’s morals seem pretty questionable. They claim to block nuisance calls, but all they really do is compile a list of folks who cough up a monthly fee alongside the free TPS register! I've already reported them to Action Fraud, but I don’t hold out much hope for any action. My next move might be consulting a solicitor.
