I’ve got a business line and they’ve called me like 15 times just today! Every time I pick up, it’s nothing, but give it around half an hour and they ring again. So annoying!

They ring me around twice a week looking for a person who's never lived at my place, and they even get the address wrong! Always something about upgrading boiler insurance. Each time they call, they swear they’ll stop ringing, but they don’t. I let her finish her spiel today and then nicely asked why she kept calling for someone who clearly isn’t here. She just cut the call immediately. I’ve blocked the number now.

Like lots of others have pointed out, this lot is a total scam. The Tory government backs them up to rip people off, just like they do in loads of other places. It's no surprise when you see lots of Cabinet members and MPs owning shares in these kinds of companies. They’re all about making money, whatever it takes.

Got a call from an Asian woman with a really poor accent, said she knew my name and where I lived, then offered a discount on some boiler insurance. The same number rang me a few months back, obviously trying to scam me out of cash. It’s ridiculous. Why don’t they just find honest work? And for goodness sake, why aren’t these dodgy numbers blocked for good?

I got a call from 01202 092418, and the person said it was regarding my boiler cover. Since we'd recently serviced our boiler, I kept listening to their spiel about some 'improved' boiler plan. Then things got dodgy when they asked for my bank PIN and which bank I’m with. I told them my husband sorts all the banking and I’m not giving out any bank info on the phone. After that, she said she'd ring me again!

My mum got a call from someone claiming it was about her benefits, but it was clearly a scam. They’re really preying on older people with these tricks.

Got another call today, looks like these people ring me every week! This time it was some lot from HSS trying to push me to upgrade my boiler insurance. At least it’s a bit of a change from the usual energy saving deals they peddle or the call blocking service stuff they tried before. Honestly, they’re just after your money, nothing else.

Totally dodgy lot ringing about some "cavity wall problem" they apparently saw on BBC news, asking for "Mr. Smith" and trying to fish for info about the house. Complete con artists if you ask me.

its been a right pain, they keep ringing non stop. ive told them the person they want has passed away but they just dont seem to care and carry on calling anyway. such a nightmare.

This number rings me and my hubby pretty much twice a day, always at the same time, so both our phones go off together. Most times they just hang up or start chatting with someone else! It's really annoying and we’re sick of it. We’ve had to block the number on both phones now. If they’re meant to be doing a proper job, they should actually speak to people or just stop calling altogether!

Somebody rang me saying they was from the government about grants for home insulation. They told me I lived in a rare area still eligible for the grant - which sounded a bit dodgy for a gov scheme. I asked if they could send me info through the post but they wouldn't agree to it, so I just ended the call.

What a hassle these scammers are - really annoying! I seriously regret even replying to their messages. All this GDPR stuff means nothing to them, I guess. Honestly, whoever you lot are, why not find a real job and do something honest instead of pestering people?

so this woman rings up saying shes from the government about a green initiative, wanting to talk about saving energy at my place. she sets an appointment for her crew to visit tomorrow but then just hangs up mid-sentence! honestly can’t wait to have them show up... feels like a total con to me.

Got a call from a guy with an American accent, but sounded like English wasn’t his first language. He kept asking for a Mr Hubble, but when he told me my number back, he got it wrong. Then he guessed my area code was somewhere near Wallasey, which is like over 200 miles from where I actually live. Definitely a scam, and not a very convincing one either.

I keep getting calls all the time, sometimes even two times daily. Then they’ll pause for a bit, only to ring again from a different number. It’s so frustrating. My elderly mum, she’s 93, gets really anxious about it.

So, not like the others here, I got a call from a guy from the east who spoke fairly good English. He gave me a hard sell about how I might qualify for a government grant to help improve my home's energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprint.
