Some guy called asking if I owned the place. Told him I wasn’t up for talking about my house and then I just hung up.

Got a call from 01202090174 around half past three today. The bloke on the line had a really thick Asian accent and claimed to be some sort of energy consultant, though it sounded dodgy as anything. I just said I didn’t understand a word and hung up straight away. Definitely seemed like some sort of scam to me, and I’d be careful with it.

Got a call from a number saying Bournemouth, but sounded way closer to Bengal if you ask me. Saw a few comments on here, about 3 or so, a bit further down and on the previous page, that give some advice on how to deal with these types of scams. Thing is, if nobody makes the effort, don’t be shocked when these calls keep coming through nonstop.

Had a woman call me a few times over the past week, sounded like she had a pretty thick Asian accent and kept saying she was the "local energy adviser." Every time I asked who she was or what company she was from, she just dodged the questions and never gave a straight answer. She also wouldn’t say if she was trying to sell me something. Feels a bit dodgy to me, can’t really trust what she’s saying. Am I just being paranoid or is it normal to feel suspicious about this?

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be called 'Kevin' - sounded like he had an Indian accent - trying to flog energy-saving insulation from Bournemouth or somewhere. I told him our roof insulation is still pretty new, only installed about 4 years ago, and he finally stopped bothering me. But since then, this number keeps ringing my phone loads of times a day without leaving any msgs. Don't know if it's anything dodgy, but it's definitely a pain, so I’d say it’s more like harassment than anything else.

Just like a few others have said, this woman called me with a strong accent and asked if I owned the house. She seemed to think I was over 80, which set off alarm bells straight away.
