3 yearsGot a call on the 25th of April 2023, a Tuesday, just as I was busy on my phone. They just cut off and ended the call though. Really irritating.3 yearsSomeone rang me but didn’t leave any voicemail or info about who they were. To me, it doesn’t seem like a legit call if they don’t bother to leave a message.3 yearsI received a call from this number today at precisely 10:17 in the morning. The voice on the line seemed to be of Indian or Pakistani origin, claiming to represent British Telecom. They informed me that my internet had been compromised and was now accessible to the public, putting my data, accounts, and passwords at risk. The caller then insisted that I go onto Google so he could assist me in securing my internet connection. I didn’t entertain further conversation and told him to reach out to me again tomorrow instead.British TelecomGoogle3 yearsSome woman called me about a BT broadband deal or something like that. I just ended the call straight away.BT3 yearsI received a dodgy call from someone claiming to represent Virgin Media, insisting there was a problem with my internet connection. They then requested that I download an application called TeamViewer, so they could view my phone's screen. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!Virgin Media3 yearsWhen I picked up the phone, it was oddly silent, as if no one was on the other end. Before I could say anything, the call ended abruptly.3 yearsEventually got through to a call centre and this bloke starts telling me there’s an issue with my internet! Total rubbish! They had called my landline.3 yearsSome bloke called himself Chad Parker and said he was with PlusNet, saying my protocol had been breached. I phoned PlusNet myself and found out it was a scam.PlusNetChad Parker3 yearsDodgy phone call, that was! They abruptly terminated the conversation as soon as I questioned them. Best to steer clear of these sorts!3 yearsI had a phone call come through at 10:37 on the 25th of April 2023. When I picked up, a woman’s voice was oddly silent for a moment, but then she finally uttered a heavily accented 'Hello' before abruptly disconnecting. Quite peculiar!3 yearsI received a rather dubious phone call the other day, where the caller identified himself as being from BT, ostensibly regarding my internet connection. The first person I spoke to was a woman whose command of English was noticeably lacking, followed by a man who had a far better grasp of the language but certainly bore a foreign accent. When I expressed my hesitation about the authenticity of the call and mentioned that I would verify by calling BT myself, he became rather pushy, insisting that I stay on the line or risk having my landline and internet abruptly cut off, claiming they were already in the process of “fixing” the issue. At that juncture, I ended the conversation and, curiously enough, my landline and internet have remained perfectly functional. Additionally, he sent a single-use 4-digit pin to my mobile phone. Quite the experience, I must say!BTSubmit Your Own Report (01202 070752)
