Someone called claiming they were from Sky Broadband and said they switched me from my old provider, even gave my name and address. I told them they had the wrong number and they just said to forget it.

I recently received a call from someone who claimed to be working in the technical support team for BT Openreach. They insisted there was an issue with my internet connection, suggesting it had been compromised in some way. The thing is, I don’t even subscribe to BT! Definitely going to make sure I block this number right away.

I got three calls where the person said they were from Microsoft, but the numbers were all different. The voice was the same each time though. The numbers I saw were 020811 53989 and 00492133573612.

So I got a call from someone pretending to be Microsoft, saying there was some kind of security problem with my PC and that I had to log into my account. I ended the call pretty quick. Then not long after, a mobile number rang me with a similar threat, saying if I didn’t comply they’d do something bad to my computer. Creepy bit was they even knew where I lived. I told them it was just bullying and said I was writing down their numbers. The mobile was 07413705461.

Someone rang me saying they were from Microsoft, but I'm pretty sure it was a scam. They ended the call pretty quick once they didn’t get the answer they wanted.

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from BT Openreach who said my internet was insecure because they had detected something. When I questioned her, she dodged my queries and then rudely asked if I was stupid. I told her that attitude made it clear she was a scammer, and she ended the call. There was typical call centre noise in the background.

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from BT Openreach, saying there was something wrong with my internet and it was unsafe or something. When I asked her some questions, she dodged them and then actually called me dumb! I told her that was all the proof I needed that it was a scam, and then she just hung up. There was loads of background noise like a call centre too.
