They ring me roughly five times, and on the initial call, I actually listened to what they had to say but quickly realised they were mistaken! I've since decided to block the number.

Got a call from this number, purporting to be from HM Revenue and Customs, insisting I return the call immediately. I’d recommend being cautious - I always verify numbers before engaging. Definitely feels like a scam to me, so stay alert!

I received a rather unsettling call today from someone purporting to be from HMRC, asserting I had a debt exceeding £3000. Curiously, he declined to provide any written confirmation of this claim. The caller, who introduced himself as Tom Ellis and had a distinct foreign accent, ominously warned that a police officer would visit my home to detain me if I failed to pay immediately over the phone. Quite the dodgy scenario, wouldn't you say?
