I got some verification codes from Facebook and Instagram out of nowhere, and then this number called me 3 times, leaving a weird voicemail with a robot voice saying something like “yes 5”. It’s definitely a scam or some hacker messing around. They’re also asking for WhatsApp codes constantly. I’m planning to report it to the police, so be careful and don’t pick up if this number rings you.

I got a message from them with some code and then they rang me, but I just ignored the call.

These con artists managed to break into my WhatsApp for a whole day after acting all professional. At first, I said no, but when they rang again and kept pushing, I unfortunately got tricked - they’re seriously good at playing mind games. Proper scammers, watch out! I had to delete and then reinstall WhatsApp to receive my verification code since I couldn’t get in. They even tried to borrow cash off some of my mates, but luckily, none of them fell for it. Absolute scumbags, honestly.

This number keeps ringing me, trying to get into my WhatsApp after I connected with someone online who wasn’t honest about themselves. WATCH OUT FOR ASHLEY JUNIOR JONES. The person using these fake profiles will attempt to break into your phone, Snapchat, Insta, and so on. Be sure to inform the police!

Like some others here, ive been getting loads of texts and whatsapp messages asking for verification codes. Also had a voicemail from this number but didnt bother listening to it. Ive switched on two-factor authentication now. Could even be WhatsApp trying to force folks into setting up two-factor, who can say? Either way its pretty annoying.

This is a WhatsApp scam for sure. My partner kept getting messages with verification codes out of nowhere, and we soon figured out it was some kind of scam, so we blocked the numbers straight away. The moment we did, he got a call but didn’t pick up. Then got a voicemail from a robotic woman’s voice giving another code. We deleted the message and blocked the number everywhere. After looking it up, found out the police had already warned about this last year. Really dodgy stuff.

Got hit with a WhatsApp scam recently. My other half kept getting texts with verification codes out of nowhere. We figured it was dodgy, so we blocked the numbers straight away. No sooner had we done that, we got a call which we ignored. Then a voicemail dropped from some robotic sounding woman giving yet another code. That voicemail was deleted quick sharp and we’ve blocked that number everywhere now. We looked it up online and found out the police warned about this scam last year. Proper risky stuff.

Got a call from some robot on WhatsApp asking for a verification code, sounds like someone's tryin to hack or steal my account. I've blocked the number and turned on two-step verification just incase. If they do manage to get in, they're outta luck. These scammers are so annoying and it's a proper breach of privacy.

Got calls and texts pretending to be from WhatsApp after a family member’s phone got hacked. Weirdly, all the calls and messages were in Spanish, even though my phone said they were from Bournemouth and I’ve never used Spanish on it. A mate also got a WhatsApp message from me at the same time, but I definitely didn’t send it. So, I deleted my WhatsApp and downloaded it again. This time the verification code arrived in English and thankfully no more strange calls in any language. Honestly, I reckon it’s best to be cautious and not take any chances.

Luckily, I’ve got my phone set to “do not disturb” overnight, otherwise I’d have been jolted awake at 2.15am by some automated message sending me a WhatsApp code. Along with that, I received a couple of texts with WhatsApp codes too, warning me not to pass them on to anyone. Got a call from this number through WHATSAPP, totally legit. I was shifting to a new phone with a different number and had to verify my whatsapp account again. This number rang me twice tonight, both times an automated American lady's voice said "your verification code is" then read out a 6 digit code. The message kept repeating about 10 times before the call dropped. I also got the exact same thing from 01134679230, same voice, bit different code, and that one called me a few times too.
