I got a call from 12029325918 claiming to be TalkTalk, saying my computer was slow due to my broadband and I needed to switch it on. I asked them to call me back on my mobile to prove they were actually from TalkTalk, as that’s what the real company would do. Unsurprisingly, they never called back - total scam. Honestly, I’m fed up with these dodgy calls, TalkTalk really should step up and do something about it.

Got a call from 012029325918 claiming to be TalkTalk, saying my internet was slow and it was my computer’s fault. They asked me to switch it on but I told them if they were legit, they should call me on my mobile as TalkTalk usually does. Unsurprisingly, they never did - total scam. I’m fed up with these annoying calls, really hope TalkTalk cracks down on this nonsense soon.

I keep getting calls almost every day from talk talk about my router. I switched my provider ages ago and I'm no longer with talk talk, but they just won't stop ringing me. It's getting really annoying!

This "talk talk technical dept" bloke keeps ringin me. Told him to jog on, but now he’s threatening to r#p# me missus and kids. Proper nasty stuff. They should find him and put him away for good. Surely tracking down these idiots ain’t that tough.

Since being a TalkTalk user, ever since my number got hacked, I'm getting constant calls starting with 00 and 000. I reckon my info must be leaked somewhere. The current limit of blocking 10 numbers on TalkTalk just ain't cutting it, they really ought to let us block at least 20. TalkTalk, please listen.

I've been a TalkTalk user and ever since my phone got hacked, I keep getting calls from numbers starting with 00 and 000 constantly. Pretty sure my info's been leaked somewhere now. Their system only lets you block 10 numbers, which is clearly not enough - they need to bump it up to at least 20. Come on TalkTalk, sort it out.

After receiving multiple calls from this number, we decided to pick up the phone. An Indian gentleman on the other end claimed to be representing TalkTalk, stating that our internet would be disconnected unless we booted up our computer to heed his guidance. Naturally, I hung up. Strangely enough, shortly thereafter, our internet did drop and we had to reach out to TalkTalk to get it fixed! Today, we got another call from a number starting with 05946 that sounded eerily similar!

Lately, I’ve been inundated with calls from this particular number. Every time I pick up, I’m met with nothing more than a fleeting sound-just cacophony of chatter and office commotion, then silence. Quite frustrating! To add insult to injury, I've been bombarded with numerous dodgy calls from individuals purporting to represent Talktalk, which I suspect might be related to this pesky number. It’s becoming increasingly tiresome, and honestly, Talktalk offers zero assistance in resolving this matter!

My mate just got calls like this too - I’d suggest getting on the Telephone Preference Service for both landlines and mobiles, plus popping a call blocking app on your phone like I did for a different number.

my missus almost got duped by this scam, but she rang TalkTalk on her phone and they told her to hang up and turn off the laptop, so she did just that, apparently stopped any harm or charges. they kept phoning non-stop for a bit but soon gave up. laptop looks fine now, but we did a system restore and ran a quick security check just to be safe. also put on call barring like TalkTalk suggested.

This number buzzed my house phone not once but twice, once yesterday and again today. I've got to say, I've pretty much stopped picking up calls on the landline. If it’s someone close, a family member or familiar face, they usually drop a message on the answerphone or just call my mobile directly. I do tend to use 1471 to see if it's a number I recognise, yet it still feels like a right bother, especially when you consider the possibility of it being a scammer. I’d rather be spending my time on something far more worthwhile!

I'm receiving constant calls from this number, usually once a day but quite often two or three times as well. They claim to be representing Talk Talk and even have the name of my husband. Since we came back from our trip abroad in May, when we had some luggage mishaps at Heathrow, other numbers have begun reaching out too. It all feels a bit suspicious, and I can’t shake the feeling that there might be a link between these calls and our lost baggage issue.

Got calls from the same number plus some other five digit ones. Told the bloke I knew he wasn’t actually from TalkTalk but he just had a laugh. Well, looks like I’m off TalkTalk then.

Got two calls from this number in the past 10 minutes, let the answerphone get it but they just hung up. If you’re with TalkTalk, you can block annoying numbers using their free "Last Caller Barring" service. After you get a call from a pest, just dial 14258 and follow the steps. Search ‘TalkTalk last caller barring’ for more details. Easy as that :)

Had the exact same thing happen to me like others on here. Definitely looks like a scam. I told my phone company (Talktalk) about it, but they said they only treat it as a nuisance if you get 10 calls from the same number within a week.

Received a second call which took an age to pick up-five rings, I believe. The chap on the other end had a thick Indian accent, clearly hailing from a call centre, and was insisting, "This is TalkTalk." He asked for me to verify my name, which he oddly seemed to already know. I wasn't having any of that, so instead I pressed him with "What do you want?"-twice, mind you. After a bit of an awkward pause where silence reigned, he must have realised he was getting nowhere and hung up after about 20 seconds.

My number’s been unlisted for 18 years and only recently, like in the past couple of months, since Talk Talk got hacked and loads of customer info was leaked, have I started getting these dodgy calls.

I received a call from this number at precisely 14:40. I answered after just one ring, but to my surprise, the caller disconnected without uttering a single word or even making a sound.

completely fed up with getting calls like this. had about 8 yesterday saying they're from TALKTALK. first call today was at 7.30am and then another one around 11am. my hubby is 83 and really needs his rest. honestly, this is driving me mad, i’m close to breaking. if this sort of behaviour isn't harassment, then what is?

Loads of calls lately from folks saying they're from TalkTalk, and it's driving me mad. We're almost scared to pick up the phone now. I reached out to TalkTalk (even though we don’t use their service anymore) and they just said to check an email with instructions that never actually showed up. That’s pretty rubbish, honestly. Looks like our only option might be to switch to a new number, which is such a hassle.

Total rubbish TalkTalk security scam. I’m sick of getting these calls, they come through about 3 or 5 times daily. Now when I pick up, I wait till they start talking then say something along the lines of "Hello, this is Birmingham Dog Unit," and they just hang up straight away. I also think TalkTalk ought to do more to deal with this mess.

I agree with what others have said about this, plus loads of other numbers linked to Talktalk's huge data leak of customer info. I've had an ex-directory phone number that never got any spam or scam calls for nearly 30 years. But recently, in the last couple of months, I've been flooded with up to a dozen calls a day from what seem like criminal gangs in India pretending to be Talktalk tech support. They claim there's an issue with my computer that's harming my router and affecting Talktalk's system. The minute you call them out for being scammers, they start swearing and just hang up.

We keep receiving loads of calls each day from numbers like this. The people say they’re from Talk Talk. We’ve let Talk Talk know but they just say to block the number. They really should do something about this instead of letting their customers get bothered nonstop.

This number is being used by fraudsters based in India. TalkTalk didn’t protect the personal info of loads of clients - even those who had their numbers unlisted. TalkTalk haven’t owned up nor done much to put a stop to the calls. Ofcom and the ICO haven’t really done anything useful either, even though the law’s been clearly broken. For lots of folks, it means getting hassled 5 times daily, without fail. I find it completely shocking and unacceptable.
