I got calls from 01204 895544 twice yesterday and then another one from 01200 895544. These don't seem legit at all and definitely aren't from the area codes they claim. It's so frustrating that nothing's done about these scammers using fake numbers! I just ignored all the calls, no way was I picking up.

On Tue 18 June, my landline was rung by 01204 895544. I answered but there was silence from the other end, although I could hear office sounds in the background. After about 3 or 4 seconds of no reply, I ended the call.

Some bloke called saying he was from BT, said he needed to get on my computer to sort out my internet. I told him I had no issues and just ended the call.

Had a call from someone who said they were with BT. They claimed loads of folks were using my internet which I found a bit daft but humoured them anyway. They started going on about how my data might be getting nicked and asked to get into my computer to demonstrate. After about 15 minutes of that rubbish, I just couldn’t take the bull anymore. Told them straight I knew it was all rubbish, mentioned I’m a certified CISSP, and told them to quit their scams and piss off.

Got two calls from this number earlier, but no one spoke. Also had a ring from a similar number, not exactly the same though - 01204895544. Strange!

I got calls from this number from a guy saying he was with BT, telling me my computer was infected with loads of viruses. He spoke with an Asian accent and said my internet was acting up. He asked me to switch on my computer so he could ‘sort’ the issue, but I told him I didn’t have any internet problems and ended the call. He rang me two or three more times after that.
