Got texts and WhatsApp msgs from someone pretending to be my kid with a new phone, saying they were in trouble and needed cash. Beforehand, they actually ring to check if it’s a live number and find out if they should say “hi mum” or “hi dad” in the message. Proper scam, watch out!

I picked up a call from a number I didn’t know, but there was nobody speaking. Just some weird noises in the background before it suddenly hung up. Seemed pretty sketchy, so I’ve decided to block it now.
