Got a ring a bit earlier today. The bloke spoke in quite broken English and mentioned my name and where I live, claiming I was owed a cheque but didn’t say how much. Then he tried to get my date of birth to “verify” things. I wasn’t having any of it and told him he already had all he needed if he was sending a cheque. After that, the guy turned annoyed, so I just ended the call. Definitely felt dodgy to me.

My mum who’s quite old got a call offering her a cheque for £3,600. They said it’d be sent to her house, but then she’d have to pay £360 at the post office just to get it. Honestly, it’s a total scam and really upsetting!
