Someone called me claiming to be from my GP's office about the covid jab. As soon as I didn't give any info, they just ended the call. The voice sounded English too.

Got a call from 01200407537 about some sort of tax fraud, rang again today but no one spoke when I picked up.

Got a call from someone saying I owed HMRC £1245. They told me if I didn’t pay straight away, they’d add an extra grand in fees for interest and not paying on time. Said they were just helping me avoid that. Like HMRC would be that kind! Anyways, I didn’t owe a thing and hadn’t received any letters. It’s been a couple of weeks and I rang HMRC myself - all clear on their end. They were after my card details to make a payment. Definitely a scam.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming there was an issue with my electric meter. He couldn’t give me my meter number, had the wrong address, and dodged all my questions about the company he supposedly worked for. He said he was with some “meter reading authority,” which sounds made up. When I kept pressing him, he got all aggressive and threatening. Told him straight up it was a scam and he could send me a letter if it was legit. The only reason I stayed on the phone was because we’re supposed to be getting a smart meter soon. Total scam, just hang up.

Somebody called saying they were from my card company about a payment made through Western Union. They asked for my name but as soon as I said they had called me first, they just cut the phone. Total scam!

Total scam - got a call from someone saying they were HMRC, telling me I owed tax. Like HMRC would actually ring your mobile on a Sunday! Just ignore and block this number, it’s definitely dodgy.

01200407537 isn’t actually a London number, they’re from Clitheroe in Lancashire or something. They say they’re from Scottish Power but it’s just a waste of time to pick up. I ended up blocking them and they just keep calling from different numbers anyway.

Scottish power is driving me mad. I stupidly signed up for one of their competitions to win a fancy car, and now they just won't quit. I've said no at least three times and even blocked three separate numbers, but they keep ringing me, asking if I want a quote or saying stuff like "why wouldn’t you want to save money?" It’s proper annoying.

No need to stress about this number, it’s a legit organisation. They go by the name “Exemplar Education” and offer private tuition: [#][#]exemplar-education[###]/ I actually submitted an enquiry via my kid’s school to see what extra lessons they provide. Their office is in Kent, 58 High Street, Beckenham, Kent, BR3 1AY. So it’s safe to answer if you get a call from them. Hope that clears things up!

Today, I received a call from this number and the guy sounded quite professional. He introduced himself as Nicholas from some IT recruitment agency and told me he had my CV, wanting to talk about a job in central London. I’m a bit unsure if this was a legit call or just spam?
