Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC and they were really aggressive, saying the police would show up at my house within an hour. Total scam, watch out!

This number now shows up as 01200 401577. I've already let the HM Revenue and Customs phishing team know about it. If you get a call from this number, the message sounds pretty alarming, but when I rang back, I ended up talking to a bloke who spoke very broken English. Things just didn't seem right, so I asked him to send me something in writing since HMRC never calls people directly like that, then I just hung up. Everyone be careful and make sure you report these calls to the right authorities. Look after yourselves.
