There was loads of noise in the background. A young bloke started his usual spiel. I just let him go on for a while, then casually asked, "Sorry, what was that?" He carried on for a bit longer, then I couldn’t help but start laughing at him. Eventually, he gave up. Blocked him straight away.

Someone phoned me asking for a person with a name that’s definitely not mine, so I just didn’t reply. Then he got really rude, shouting something like "I know you’re there, so talk to me. If you don’t, I’ll mark this as a silent call and you’ll be hearing from me again." Well, if you call again, you’ll be met with the same reaction. Seems like it annoys you way more than it does me, honestly.

When I asked why they were calling me out of the blue, they had the nerve to say I was trying to provoke a fight. I told them it’s actually against the law now, and they still acted like it was no big deal.

I’ve had two calls from this number today. I never pick up unknown numbers, so after no message was left the first time, I blocked it. Then they called again and left a voicemail full of background noise, but nobody actually said anything, so I just got rid of it.

Been getting loads of calls like this today too. They claim they're from places like Royal London, Legal & General and AIG, but they’re defo not connected. When they phoned me back, the caller ID showed ‘Potential Fraud’ so I’m steering clear and not answering anymore.

Got a call from some bloke who said my phone was flagged in his system about checking my insurance. I quickly told him to take my number off and to stop calling me. He kept insisting he wasn’t trying to scam me. Still told him firmly to delete my number and not to ring back. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Got a call from someone with a Scouse accent asking for a Mr Wallace, yet again! Honestly, these people need to be sorted by Ofcom. I've blocked that number now, but by this point I've got so many numbers blocked I’ve lost count.

This woman was really pushy, claiming she was calling about checking my life insurance with Aviva and other firms. I told her I haven’t got any and don’t need it, but she went on about how I’d be selfish not to have one and that I’d be leaving my family in trouble if I died. When I mentioned I don’t actually have a family, she just hung up on me.

Just got a ring from this call centre, some guy with a Manc accent claiming he was from ‘simply review’. He said they team up with big insurance firms and my life insurance supposedly needs a check because it’s been… flagged or something. Told him straight up that he’s got it all wrong and that he probably pinched info he shouldn’t have, then ended the call sharpish.

Got a call from a bloke named Chris, sounded like he was from Manchester. Said he was ringing on behalf of a place called Simply Review about checking up on my life insurance. When I asked where he got my number from and why exactly he was ringing me, he got a bit rude and just ended the call. So far, that’s the only time he’s called. I marked it as harassment but who knows, maybe it’s something else.
