Got a suspicious ring from a new number today, some automated voice pretending to be BT. They were going on about "illegal activity" on my router and threatening to cut off my internet in a day. I pressed 1, expecting to check it out, but then got through to someone who said there was an issue with my router and asked for access to my PC. That’s when I just hung up and blocked the number straight away. Total scam, don’t fall for it!

Got a call from an automated female voice claiming to be from BT. She said my phone line would be cut off due to some security update and told me to press 1 to keep it connected!
