Got a call from someone saying they were with BT, talking about upgrading from copper lines to fibre and trying to 'prepare me ahead of time'. When I pointed out there’s no fibre available on my street yet, they just kept saying it’s about 'getting ready now'. They basically want you to sign up today for a service that won’t actually be available for over a year, and charge you extra despite the fact the fibre couldn’t be installed right now. Honestly, I’m quite sceptical they were even with BT - sounds more like a third-party company fishing for BT customers to earn some commission.
