Someone phoned up pretending to be from BT Openreach, saying there was an issue with my internet connection.

I got a call from someone saying they were from TalkTalk. I told the guy, who introduced himself as Alan and sounded Indian, that I’m not with TalkTalk, and he just ended the call straight away.

The call quality was terrible, with a lag and some weird clicking sounds before I got connected to a lady speaking with a heavy Asian accent. She claimed there’d been a security breach on my internet. When I asked her to verify who she was, she just brushed it off and didn’t want to prove anything. I ended the call flat out. This happened two times already today. I’ve now blocked the number.

Got a call yet again from some bloke pretending to be from TalkTalk's Asian office, trying to get into my laptop. Told him I just use an iPad and he quickly hung up. Typical! Blocked the number now but I’m sure they'll keep trying.
