It took some time for the person to say anything. A guy with a Pakistani accent asked if he was speaking to me, but I told him he must have dialled the police by mistake. He then wanted to know my name, so I replied I was Officer Plod. He then asked what my first name was, but I stopped him there, shocked he didn’t recognize Mr Plod, the copper. These calls are such a pain. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind if he had a proper mishap on his way back so he can’t ring anyone ever again.

Got a call from some bloke with a foreign accent who wanted to talk to me (and even used my proper name). He said his name was Frank. When I asked him to wait a moment, he just hung up. These sorts of calls are becoming a pain, so I’m reporting them straight to the ICO now. You can check out their website at https://ico.org.uk. If enough of us send in the info, maybe they’ll finally do something about it.

Every time i picked up or tried calling back, they just hung up on me again and again.

Got a call from this number, but they had my address all wrong, with an old one instead. From what I could tell, the number probably belongs to a place in a cul-de-sac near Reading. The caller said they were from Barclays and immediately started asking weird questions about my washing machine and stuff. Thing is, I don’t have a washing machine and never did. The whole call felt pretty dodgy to me. Wouldn’t trust this number at all.
